CHARITY BEARD
Stuart MacDonald cycling from London to Edinburgh to raise money for Cancer Research. To see his bearded journey click HERE.
CELEB BEARD
Jonathan Ross refused to actually wear he Travelbeard but kindly posed with said Travelbeard. Really I think he was concerned for the safety of the beard as he could see the envy in Peter Jones' eyes at being asked to be pictured first. He clearly didn't want this to become a tug-o-beard and risk damaging the Angora wool luxuy beard.
Touching the Beard
Top Mountaineer Simon Yates (yes the one who cut the rope) follows in the footsteps of Kenton Cool and Ian Parnell and conquers the Travelbeard on the South Face.
Simon below poses to promote his latest books, both of which are available at www.mountaindream.co.uk

In Peak Conditon
World famous mountaineers Ian Parnell & Kenton Cool took on a new challenge, that of the Travelbeard. Using their years of training and experience they posed like true bearding professionals.

Hopefully they will now continue in the way of the Travelbeard and send in some contenders for future Beard of the Month competitions. A big thank you to both of them for being such good sports.

Travelbearders and Cetaceans do mix! Planetwhale.com proves it!
It was believed that these two animal groups could never coexist side by side, but thanks to groundbreaking research performed by Ian and Dylan of www.planetwhale.com it is in fact the opposite.
Over many years Ian and Dylan have been slowly introducing false facial hair to the Whales and Dolphins in the Bay of Biscay. They started out sporting small pencil moustache and slowly progressed through Handlebar, Goatee and the chinstrap beard, to the point that they can now wear a full-on bushy travelbead in the presence of species such s the Finn Whale, Cuvier's Beaked Whale and Common Dolphin.
Ian and Dylan run a series of tours Whale and Dolphin watching in the Bay of Biscay, details of wich can be found at www.planetwhale.com. In addition they will also be intorducing Travelbeards to Wolves in northern Spain on a new

Fantastic Beardathon Special
Honorary July Beard of the Month

This shot was taken on the return of the Beachcomber 18th Birthday party trip to Mauritius. Sarah's friends are a mixture of colleagues, suppliers and agents from around the country. Those without beards, and looking concerned, are innocent members of the travelling public caught up in a mass Beardathon. Money was raised by a number of voluntary donations from all those who took part in the various beardy activities over the course of the week. The beards (60 of them) were purchased by Beachcomber Tours sales team and now lie in the vaults of Beachcomber House awaiting their next mission. The money has been given to FED (Foundation of Hope and Development) an organisation set up by Beachcomber Hotels in 1999 to assist with community development projects throughout Mauritius. www.fonesdev.org

We all look forward to seeing more from the guys at Beachcomber, with 60 new Travelbeards we are expecting great things.

Wanderlust Pub Quiz 2007

The 'Travelbearders' entered the quiz from The Adventure Company, last years winners they were hot favourites.
But Alistair was out voted in a Hand on the Beach Question, he knew it was Uruguay, but they thought Chile.
